Encircle supports the community of Pine Rivers by providing a range of support services and activities from the Pine Rivers Neighbourhood Centre.

Services provided at the Pine Rivers Neighbourhood Centre include

Community Information and Referral – We provide information by phone or in person about services that are available at the neighbourhood centres and in our community – such as government departments, health services, sporting and social clubs, support groups, playgroups, educational courses, community activities and events, other agencies and local supports. You can also access support services including a confidential interview to assess your individual needs and work out the best way to meet those needs. This may include referral to  support services for emergency relief, counselling, homelessness, family support or it may involve advocacy e.g. around bill payments. Other support available includes financial counselling  and No-Interest Loan Scheme.

Community Development – Working collectively with other networks in the Pine Rivers community to bring about social change.

Multicultural Ladies Group – Offering friendship and peer support for all women. This group meets on the second and fourth Friday of every month.

Conversational English Group A friendly and relaxed group that supports individuals to improve their English speaking skills.

Adult Literacy One on one tutoring for adults who require support to improve their reading, writing and numeracy skills. Tutoring is offered in a relaxed, friendly and support environment by fully trained volunteer tutors.

Playgroups  9.30am – 11.30am

  • Monday – Bubs Playgroup (children under 12 months)
  • Wednesday – Grandparents Playgroup
  • Thursdays – Playspace Playgroup (children under 5 years)

Mosaics Group – Socialise and relax with a afternoon of ramekins

Create Caring Community – A group that meets on the 1st and 3rd Friday of each month to socialise, learn new skills and support vulnerable people in the community through various projects.

Community Meeting Spaces – Encircle encourages people to meet and interact, organise and carry out enjoyable activities at our neighbourhood centre and seven Moreton Bay Regional  Council Community Centres. Community spaces include: large and small halls as well as meeting rooms. Please phone us to discuss your venue/activity requirements. A Community Centres brochure is available for more information.

Homestay – Early intervention and Homelessness program. providing case work to people at risk of homelessness and brief interventions to those already homeless.

Family Support – The Family Support Program provides early intervention support to families to make changes and develop insight in the areas of parenting, family relationships, and children’s needs and development.   Family Support assists families who may have been impacted by mental health issues, relationship breakdown, social isolation, or experiences of emotional or physical trauma to improve child and family wellbeing.

Counselling – For individuals, children, couples and families who want to explore personal issues. This can involve dealing with a stressful situation, relationship and family difficulties, or
working through life’s challenges. The organisation has qualified, experienced counsellors delivering Family Therapy, Specialised Family Violence Counselling and Generalist Counselling.
