EPRCLS is seeking a motivated Legal Administration Support Worker to join our team and provide high-level administrative support to ensure the service operates efficiently and effectively.

About the Team

EPRCLS provides free legal advice, information, referrals, and community legal education to people experiencing disadvantage across the Moreton Bay and greater North Brisbane region.

PRCLS operates from Strathpine, Caboolture, Redcliffe, Deception Bay and Kallangur, with outreach services at Bribie Island and the Family Relationship Centre in Strathpine. The service also supports the Domestic and Family Violence Duty Lawyer Service at Pine Rivers Magistrates Court and assists with services at Redcliffe and Sandgate Courthouses.

Encircle Community Services Ltd (Encircle) is the preferred community services provider in the City of Moreton Bay. We are a community-owned and operated organisation offering a range of support services and activities directly to families and individuals living in Moreton Bay and the greater North Brisbane area.

Since 1987, we have been committed to developing programs and services that support the wellbeing of community members, to encourage and enable community participation, and respond to identified community issues and needs.

Encircle operates across six sites including Kallangur, Lawnton, Redcliffe, Strathpine, Caboolture and Kedron. We have 80 staff and approximately 130 volunteers. Our programs and activities demonstrate a wide variety of integrated options for the people in our region.

About this Role

As the Legal Administration Support Worker, you will provide essential administrative and reception support to the Pine Rivers Community Legal Service team, ensuring clients receive timely and professional assistance.

Working closely with solicitors, volunteers and the administration team, you will help coordinate appointments, maintain the client management system and support the smooth operation of the legal service.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing a welcoming and professional reception service for clients and stakeholders
  • Managing calls, emails and client enquiries in a friendly and empathetic manner
  • Scheduling and confirming legal appointments and conducting conflict checks
  • Maintaining client data and records using the Actionstep client management system
  • Planning and maintaining solicitor and volunteer rosters
  • Training volunteers and law students in administrative processes and systems
  • Supporting the coordination of the Domestic and Family Violence Duty Lawyer Service
  • Assisting with client surveys, reporting and statistical data collection
  • Supporting solicitors with general administrative tasks and document management
  • Assisting with the coordination of meetings, events and training sessions

This role requires travel between the Strathpine and Caboolture offices.

Requirements

  • Certificate III in Administration or equivalent experience/qualification
  • Minimum 1 year administration or front-office experience
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Experience working with volunteers
  • Experience in a community services or not-for-profit environment (desirable)
  • Working knowledge of Actionstep or similar client management system (or ability to learn quickly)
  • Current driver’s licence
  • Current Police Check and Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)
