VOLUNTEER APPLICATION FORM

 

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at an Encircle event in 2024.

Encircle Community Services is a not-for-profit, community-owned and operated organisation for individuals and families in the north Brisbane area. Encircle responds to personal and community needs within a safe and welcoming environment through our focus areas that provide a flexible range of activities, supports, and information.

Encircle Community Services operates in accordance with its Mission Statement and Practice Framework policy. All staff and volunteers will adhere to Privacy and Confidentiality requirements and a Code of Conduct.

Volunteers are invited to actively participate in organisational planning and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the administration and facilitation of the event.
  • Working co-operatively in partnership with community organisations and groups to encourage their contribution and participation in the relevant community event.
  • Assist in setup and clear down of the event.

Duties:

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Contact and work co-operatively in partnership with community organisations and groups to encourage their contribution and participation in the event.
  • Willing to work as part of a team.
  • Help set up and clear down the event.
  • If you have any specific skills and experience that you think might be useful it would be most appreciated.

You will have support from staff, with the opportunity to gain and develop skills and meet other volunteers.

In return for your valuable help, we aim to ensure that volunteering for Encircle is a fulfilling and worthwhile experience.

Please note:

  • Volunteers may need to hold a valid Blue Card or have had a recent police check. We can help you apply for both if required.
  • Volunteers will be provided with water and a food voucher.
  • Volunteers will be required to sign a Volunteer Agreement and adhere to the Encircle Code of Conduct.
